Directions for Eagle Park

Driving up from the city, on the South Eastern Freeway, turn left off to the old freeway on the Eagle on the Hill exit. Drive up the old free way to just below the old service stations, do a legal U turn a return back down the hill and turn into the top parking area.
Please don't do an illegal turn across the medium strip.

Car parking is available in the bowl section. When you enter the top car park off of the old freeway, go through the gates and follow the fire road through to the bowl. It is a short walk up the hill to sign on.

Course Description - Eagle Park

Short course track, as used is National rounds.  Starting & finishing on the mezzanine.

Directions for Flinders Uni track

If your driving from the city, drive south on South Road, Turn left at Sturt Road, and then right into Flinders University (University Drive). Turn left onto the Ring Road then drive up the hill, and turn left into Car Park 3.

The race start/finish is just down from the northern corner of the car park. There is plenty of parking available in car park 3. Please do not park outside of the sealed areas of the car park.

Course Description - Flinders Uni

Open single track and fire road. There are several flowing single track sections, with one or two climbs and a few technical sections. The track is reasonably fast to ride. Expected Elite time per lap is 12 minutes.

Race Track Markings

The race track is marked by 20 x 20cm white/red arrows. Where there is a forward pointing arrow on either side of the race track - this forms a gate, and the competitor must pass through this gate

Race Plates - we will be using the same race plates as we use for the winter season, so bring your existing plate along. For those without a plate, there is a $10 deposit.

Time keeping at the event

We will be using our Transponder timing system at the events. The transponder will be attached to your front forks by a zip tie - 100mm above the axle.

Transponders can be purchased for $75, and last for 5 years and once you purchase one, this will identify you on our timing system for the next 5 years. We would prefer that riders purchase transponders. There will be a trade in scheme operating if you decide to stop racing in the future.

The back up will be your race plate, and it is important that you attach this to the front of the bike, and that it can be read as you cross the line.

It is also important that you only cross the finish line when you are completing an official lap - the system will pick up each time you cross the line, and produce error laps if you cross the line for other reasons.

WEARING OF HELMETS AT EVENTS

It is important that your wear your helmet at all times that your are on your bike  - before, during and after the your race - if your on your bike, you must be wearing your helmet.
